Spiegelberg's Silverline Antimicrobial Subdural Drainage Catheter (8F and 10F) are indicated for drainage after evacuation of Chronic Subdural Hematoma and mainly used after brain surgeries (as drainage of cerebro spinal fluid and other fluids of similar physical properties in conditions of blood in the CSF). Its catheters are made of radiopaque antiseptic polyurethane. They are available in two different diameters. The catheters have a 6 cm perforation zone close to the tip. Stylet, trocar, Luer-Lock connector, and suturing wing are delivered with the catheter. A prospective randomized study shows a lower recurrence rate, lower mortality, and better outcome with drainage applied for 48 hours after surgery.
