Esco Frontier Radioisotope Fume Hood is a internal chamber constructed of stainless steel 304 with coved corners. Tri-wall construction for maximum robustness. It has Chain and Sprocket Sash support system. Sash stop limits sash movement beyond 457mm , 'encouraging' user to work at safe positions. When sash is raised raised 457mm (18") , it will naturally and gently fall back to the safe level unless held in place. Safety features shaping vanes increase breath sweep at the critical area at the sidewall to boost containment, especially when laboratory personnel walk fast in front of the hood. Reinforced work surface can hold loads of up to 15 kN/m (2.175 lbf/in). Typical light intensity on work surface is 1076 lux in zero ambient conditions. Lighting is electronically ballasted, energy efficient, instant start. Hood lighting is pre wired. Option to upgrade to stainless steel 316 is available.
