Metacarpal IV-V ortheses long is put in the injured hand and fingers IV+V with the ulnar side into the prefabricated splint. Bend the prefabricated splint to protect the requested position of the fingers IV+V. Fasten the splint to the hand with the bandages between the thumb and index finger as well as around the wrist. If indicated, you can correct the bending of the splint into the finally needed position. Fix the fingers IV+V with the loop. With gentle pressure, carefully alter the splint to the hand and fingers. To remove the splint, it is not necessary to open the loop on the fingers; the fingers can simply be pulled out from and later shifted back into the fixation.
