Chrisofix Metacarpal IV-V ortheses immobilizes the MCP joints of IV-V fingers following an injury or surgery on the osteo-synthesis or flexor tendon(s). The pre-fab splint is pliable for proper positioning of fingers IV-V. The injured hand and IV-V fingers are positioned with the ulnar side into the splint. Then with light pressure it can be adjusted for the correct fit for the hand and fingers and then loop is then wrapped around IV-V fingers. The bandages are used to fasten the splint to the hand around the wrist, thumb and index finger. For removal of the hand from the splint simply pull the fingers out. The loop doesn’t have to be released.
