It is used in first aid and in the fixation of fingers ll V during injuries or any inflammation such as the panaritium. It is also used for degenerative diseases pre-operatively on the distal or even the middle phalanges and the interphalangeal joints. The finger is placed into the finger splints ortheses with gentle pressure while carefully shaping the finger.
