The ELLA Extractor comes in two parts, the bare extractor and the overtube. Under endoscopic guidance the bare extractor can be implanted into the stent. Once the overtube is inserted and other steps are completed under fluoroscopic guidance the extractor system can be used for the safe removal of esophageal SX-ELLA type stents, including ones that may have migrated to the stomach.
