The Aerospray TB has an automated slide stainer that will stain acid-fast microorganisms (AFB). It uses either fluorescence regents or carbol fuchsin for the staining process. Only fresh reagents should be applied to the slides in order to prevent risk of cross-contamination from slide-to-slide. The consumption of the reagent is very low, and the throughput is very high using either the 30-slide carousel or 12-slide carousel. The slides are dry and ready to go under the microscope in five minutes. Superior results can be expected. When combined with the (optional) Cytopro Cytocentrifuge Rotor, the Aerospray TB can also deposit cells onto the microscope slides.
