The ROTOFIX 46 is a centrifuge ideal for industrial and research labs. It has a wide array of accessories for standard applications and permits special tasks to be accomplished. It can accommodate some special tubes like ASTM (American Society for Testing Materials) tubes, chrome bath tubes, and Schlenk tubes. Schlenk tubes are commonly used in organo-metallic and co-ordination chemistry and can be held by Rotor 5616. Separation of substances prepared in these tubes can be done via centrifugation. Moreover,chrome baths have sulfuric acid that can be identified with the use of chrome bath tubes. The QA procedure does not only interest both private and public testing facilities, but also chrome bath operators that need to identify sulphate levels regularly. The ROTOFIX 46 is not considered a medicinal product based on the context of the IVD Directive and should not be utilized for medical analysis.
