14 Toshiba Aplio 500 Ultrasound Systems will provide industry-leading depth and detail so clinicians can focus on what matters most

Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital in Binghamton, N.Y. is providing its clinicians with a streamlined, worry-free experience by replacing its entire ultrasound fleet with 14 AplioTM 500s from Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc.

By selecting one system type, Lourdes clinicians have a consistent and easy-to-use platform across all exams, including breast, echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound studies.

“Previously, we had a mix of manufacturers, and decided that upgrading to a single system would ensure our clinicians and sonographers could use every ultrasound in the hospital, making exams more streamlined and efficient,” said Brian Wetzel, administrative director, Diagnostic Imaging, Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital. “Not only are the systems easy to use, but the image quality allows our clinicians to see things they’ve never seen before.”

The Aplio 500 is Toshiba’s premier ultrasound system, offering picture-perfect imaging with numerous advanced features. It offers efficient and precise exams with enhanced workflow tools and ergonomics, including the iStyleTM+ Productivity Suite.

“Lourdes required ultrasound systems that improved image quality and allowed its clinicians to make confident diagnoses, and the Aplio 500 met these requirements,” said Tomohiro Hasegawa, director, Ultrasound Business Unit, Toshiba. “To ensure success with the new systems we listened to their needs, and our applications and training team made sure their clinicians were ready to use the systems confidently from day one.”
