The Vacuklav 24 B/L operates by pumping the air from the unit's chamber, followed by repeatedly injecting steam into the chamber and pumping it out again There is no air in the chamber, or in any of the contents contained within it at the beginning of the sterilization process. The volume of the sterilization chamber is 29 liters. The chamber contains a 19 x 55 2 cm tray. The Vacuklav 24 B/L is in compliance with European Standard EN 13060. Five different programs are provided for the unit's operation, together with two test programs. Regulation of the autoclave's sterilization procedure is accomplished through a combination of pressure and temperature sensors and the unit's microprocessor control unit. The RS 232 allows sterilization cycle information to be transmitted to a PC for documentation, as is required by law.
