General characteristics of the humeral nailing The Medimetal’s humeral nail was developed for the care of the fractures of the diaphysis, occurring at different altitudes. In addition, the upper third fractures can be maintained easier, thanks to the proximal end, which ensures the locking position in three horizontal and an oblique plane. The insertion either from the anterograde or from the retrograde directions are also possible. Design of the implants The humeral nails is slightly curved nails, which allows their insertion much more easier. The required diameters and lengths are available. Solid and cannulated versions are also available .The proximal end is equipped with four locking direction, one of the oblique plane points to the direction of the tuberculum maius. For the distal locking AP- and lateral holes are available. Humeral nails are made of steel and titanium.
