Duralux Vision Panels The Duralux range of vision panels has been designed specifically for use in challenging healthcare environments using high strength glazing, a concealed mechanism and a unique two part anti ligature stainless steel fascia. The unit comprises of Pyrosec 19mm toughened fire glass to the patient side, a moving centre pane of 4mm polycarbonate and 10mm toughened glass to the staff side. These are all contained within a stainless steel (grade 316) casement which incorporates the control turn which is fixed to the base. The whole unit is held securely in place by the bolt fixed stainless steel (grade 316) fascias which shroud the controls eliminating ligature risk. Anti ligature by design At every point the Duralux vision panel has been designed to reduce ligature attachment. From the flush fitting fascia which returns back to the glass face to the specially shrouded controls the whole unit provides the ultimate option for high risk areas. Anti vandal as standard The components of the Duralux are far from standard. To the patient side the unit uses 19mm Pyrosec toughened fire glass which is virtually unbreakable. The centre pane use 4mm polycarbonate which will not break or shatter even when subject to intense movement or vibration (unlike standard float glass as used on some vision panels). To the staff side there is 10mm toughened glass to withstand heavy duty everyday use. The fascia construction is 2mm grade 316 stainless steel which uses 12x M5 bolts (bolts fixed from the staff side to the back of the patient side) to secure the panel to the door.
