This densilameter is designed to facilitate fastest possible determination of microbial density with comfort. The turbidity for measurement varies from 0.0 to 15.0 McFarland. It is equipped to meet the objectives with its patented style of measurement and the obtained result shows the arithmetic mean of many repeated measurements. It is capable of removing the related subjective errors associated with inoculum density determination. The tubes used for measurements are of 15 or 18.5 mm diameter. It has two calibration modes. The first one is standard calibration which is built for measurement in polystyrene tubes and the second one is user calibration (allowing users own calibration) meant for measurement in suspension media tubes both produced by ERBA Lachema.
