The HemoCue Glucose 201 DM RT Analyzer is utilized for the analysis of capillary, venous or arterial whole blood samples. For whole blood values it has a measurement range of 0-27.8 mmol/L (0-500 mg/dL) and the plasma equivalent is 0-31 mmol/L (0-560 mg/dL). Results are produced in 40-240 seconds, depending on the blood glucose concentration. It has a sample volume of <4 µL. The analyzer weights 350 g (0.77 pounds) including installed batteries. The docking station weighs 566 g (1.24 pounds). The HemoCue Glucose 201 DM RT Analyzer can either be powered by internal batteries or via the docking station. It has an operating temperature of 15-27 °C (59-80 °F) and is compatible with a PC and printer interface. As a quality control precaution, the device has a built-in 'self-test', and the system can be verified by using liquid controls.
