The Hemocue Blood Glucose meter can measure the patient?s blood glucose in about 40-240 seconds, depending on the patient?s blood glucose concentration. It is powered by either internal batteries or a docking station. Its measurement range is 0-22.2 mmol/L (0-400 mg/dL) for whole blood values and 0-24.6 mmol/L (0-444 mg/dL) for plasma equivalent values. Weighing in at 350 g (.077 lbs) with batteries installed or 566 g (1.24 lbs) using the docking station, it is efficiently small, measuring at 135x206x61 mm (5.30x8.10x2.40 inches). Its calibration is traceable to the ID GC-MS method and the analyzer is already factory calibrated.
