Welcome, bienvenue, to the official website for the 8th World Congress of the World Federation of Pediatric Intensive & Critical Care Societies to be held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada June 5-8, 2016. We are excited to get things underway and have a busy 12 months ahead as we plan for the scientific and social aspects of the meeting. As in the past, the scientific content is our focus with an aim to foster learning and collaboration for the care we provide to children with critical illness and their families. Experts representing points of view from across the globe will lead core tracks, and in response to feedback from past registrants, we are including daily plenary sessions, expanded pre-conference workshops, and opportunities to meet and discuss specific topics with experts in the field. We are planning the program to enable presenters of free papers and posters to be integrated into the main program themes.

Visas

Some participants may need a visa to enter Canada. Please check with your local Canadian Embassy. It is the responsibility of the congress participant to obtain a visa if required.

CME Accreditation

Appropriate accreditation is being applied for.

An application will be made to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) for CME accreditation of this event. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS): www.uems.net

Food & Beverage

During breaks, as indicated in the program, coffee/tea and light refreshments will be supplied. This is included in the registration fee.

The CAD, Canadian Dollar is the official currency in Canada.
