The ELT allows for easy loading and unloading of the sterilizer chamber without physical contact with the chamber carriage and load . The simple functionality of the ELT is achieved by using self-locating guide rails which ensure precise mating with the load chamber . Once located the trolley can be secured to the vessel when loading the carriage to reduce lateral movement whilst transferring the load . The system is powered rechargeable battery pack which can be recharged over night ; however this electric loading trolley can insert and retract the carriage approx 200 times before requiring a recharge .
