Imagined in the mid 70s in St Etienne (France) by Professor Bousquet, the dual mobility acetabular cup concept has now reached maturity and brings a coherent solution to the intra-prosthetic dislocation issue. Indicated for the primary degenerative osteoarthritis at the patient of more than 70 years, for the neck fractures of the active person, for cases of important articular laxity, for the patients with irrational behavior, and for the revisions of primary TKAs, the dual mobility concept associates important intra-articular stability and controlled wear of the polyethylene liner. Capitole "U" for "Universal" CAPITOLE "U" is a dual mobility acetabular cup which enables intra-operative adaptation of its fixation to the osseous situation.
