This instrument is used to place embryos into the uterus while causing minimal tissue injury. Its use of smaller amounts of fluid decreases the likelihood that the embryos will migrate. The microvol technology decreases the medium required for placement. When used with ultrasonic imaging equipment, the EchoTip band increases visualization of the catheter tip.
