The Leo® bed makes it possible to bring the patient into the vertical position during post operating phases, during physiotherapy re-education, and for a gradual return of autonomous functions. It gives all the advantages of a verticalisation table and hospital bed in one product. The patient is softly, progressively and safely brought from the lying position to the standing position without any psychological or physical traumas. Putting the patient in the standing position provides better blood circulation, better breathing, vascularization of the inferior organs, and normal working intestinal functions. The Leo® may be equipped by Serenis® mattresses for the prevention of bed sores. These visco-elastic foam mattresses are especially made for the prevention of bed sores and offer optimised bed sore prevention. The Leo® can also be equipped with standard mattresses or « waffle » type bed sore prevention mattresses.
