The tip is a spring coil, and the core is a maximum support stainless steel shaft. The coating is 018" and comes in either hydrophilic or silicone (non-hydrophilic). This device is distinct because of its 4-5 g tip load for the 0.018", its 7 g tip load for the 0.14", and a platinum tip for visibility.
