Activating AQ® hydrophilic coating makes it lubricious, which reduces friction. The AQ hydrophilic coating is found on 5 cm of the catheter's distal end. Because of reduced friction, stent introduction to tissue and to complex anatomy is easy. It has RB™ design radiopaque bands proximal to the pigtails, which helps in identifying the stent's position and ensure that it is accurate. It has thin platinum bands that provide excellent visibility without affecting flow in the internal lumen. The introducer catheter along with the radiopaque marker gives friction that is appropriate for the stent, resulting in easy positioning and deployment. The inner TFE cathether runs through the stent, facilitating advancement. Migration is also reduced with coils that are pigtail shaped. It is supplied in easy-to-open sterile packages. It is for single-use only.
