The Affidea diagnostic centre located in the Letia Technology Park in Legnica was recently opened to patients. The facility offers high-quality diagnostic tests in computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasonography, as well as X-ray examinations.
Previously, the Affidea Legnica diagnostic centre provided its services in the District Specialist Hospital in Legnica. When the agreement with the hospital expired, the centre was transferred to a new, more prestigious location where patients may, without any disruption, have their diagnostics performed either free-of-charge (if financed under the contract with the National Health Fund) or changed on a fee-for-service basis.
The all-new Affidea Legnica Centre is equipped with a 64-slice CT scanner, a 1.5 Tesla MR scanner with an HD option, as well as ultrasonography and X-ray devices.
“The advanced equipment enables our centre to offer our patients over 40 types of CT imaging services, about 30 kinds of MRI services and more than 23 types of ultrasonography examinations. We specialize in cardiovascular computed tomography, as well as spectroscopy and neurological diagnostics. What we stand for is high quality of examinations and also prompt delivery of results so that, if necessary, patients can begin their treatment as soon as possible,” commented Dr Iwona Paluch, Head of the Affidea Diagnostic Laboratory in Legnica.
“It is estimated that we will deliver about 440 computed tomography examinations and around 530 magnetic resonance scans under the contract with the National Health Fund. From the other end, we have already received feedback from patients who have appreciated the comfortable conditions we provide during examinations,” said Iwona Basińska, Director of Affidea Polska.
