ESICM LIVES Forum Athen 2022

On behalf of the ESICM and the Hellenic Society of Intensive Care Medicine, the Greece of inspiration and Asclepius the physician invites and extends its hospitality and its warmest welcome to all experts in the field of trauma for one and two half days of experiential workshops, keynotes, panel discussions, and networking opportunities.

The topic of the conference will be MAJOR TRAUMA and BRAIN INJURY (TBI): From Assessment to Treatment.

It is well known that traumatic injury is a worldwide public health problem resulting in approximately 16000 deaths per day and around 8 times as many moderate or severe disabilities. It is also predicted to increase substantially by 2030.

In this LIVES FORUM, we aim at providing a full picture of the progress being made towards better diagnosis, treatment and long-term care for trauma patients. We will focus on all components in the chain of trauma care from the moment of injury to the return to active life. Physicians, paramedics, nurses, scientists from all over Europe, we will learn from one another.
