The Medical Association of Westphalia-Lippe sees the "acquisition of knowledge, experience and skills in ultrasound examinations for punctures and injections of nerves and/or vessels as well as for intensive care issues" as an obligatory part of specialist training and has firmly anchored this wording in the training regulations.
