Journées Européennes de la Société Française de Cardiologie (JEFSC) 2015

This 25th edition of the European Days of the French Society of Cardiology gives you again the opportunity to visit the "Training Centers".

Located on level 3 of the Palais des Congrès in a specific area on Thursday, January 15th and Friday, January 16th the “Training Centers” are aimed to improve your knowledge on technological innovations, cardiac electronic implantable devices (indications, follow-up and daily consequences), echocardiography (strain, 3D) or news oral anticoagulants… with an interactive discussion with leaders, experts and implementation of knowledge.

The chosen theme for the Village of the 25th European Days of the French Society of Cardiology is: ˝Tailored Cardiology˝.

The village will of course discuss the latest innovations in cardiology, but also their current applications in daily practice of cardiology in hospital and in private practice.

This village is constituted of two components, geographically situated in level 3 of the Palais des Congrès, in a well identified space comprising:

- The ˝Studio˝: where interactive 90 minutes clinical caseworkshops will take place: Thursday 15 and Friday 16 January 2015:

• Resistant hypertension: standard or tailored treatment?
• Acute coronary syndrome: tailored antiplatelet treament?
• Pre-TAVI echocardiography, a guarantee for success?
• Ventricular arrhythmias: wait-and-see or ablation?
• Telemedicine and heart failure

- A ˝Meet the Expert˝ space: where informal encounters will take place (without slide projections) between the public and an expert (with a facilitator asking the questions). There will be 6 sessions a day:

• Personalized cardiac evaluation in diabetes
• Cholesterol and genetics
• Hypertension: which innovations?
  
• Atrial fibrillation: any news?
• Ablation of atrial fibrillation and flutter
• Electronic cigarette: which one, why?

The global program is under the authority of a Scientific Committee presided by Prof. Jean Ferrières and including Prof. Etienne Aliot, Martine Gilard, Patrick Jourdain, Yves Juillière, Emmanuel Messas, François Paillard and Athul Pathak. This program will allow the coverage of numerous cardiovascular topics.
