EUSOBI 2024

Dear breast imaging specialist,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to our Annual Scientific Meeting, which will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, from October 3 to 5, 2024. As in the past years, our meeting will be preceded by our special EUSOBI Breast MRI Training Course (opening to CEM) as well as the EYC Workshop.
This year’s meeting is organised in collaboration with the Portuguese Society of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine (SPRMN), the Portuguese Society of Senology (SPS), and active participation of Portuguese professionals.

We are highly appreciative of all the positive feedback we received from participants of previous meetings and are hoping to again break a new record at this year’s meeting. While we aim for a high in-person attendance with the advantage of enjoying both the scientific and social sides of EUSOBI, we are also planning to broadcast our main programme live to reach those who cannot travel to Lisbon.

The highlights of this year’s Lisbon meeting will feature:

• Basics in breast imaging
• Sessions on Screening & risk, AI and new methods in breast imaging
• An MDT session on using each other’s strengths to come to the best solution
• An overview of new EUSOBI guidelines and recommendations
• Breast cancer staging
• Image guided treatment de-escalation
• Clinical impact and optimization

We are proud to present 2 distinguished keynote speakers:
Dr. Felicia Knaul from the US who will spotlight the effects of breast cancer beyond the disease, and Dr. Ivie Braga De Paula from Brazil who will address an increasingly common problem in her country, breast cancer in young women.

In our effort to extend bonds with other societies around the world, this year EUSOBI will meet the Singaporean breast radiologists.

Young radiologists are indispensable now and in the future, and in this sense, we are happy to again announce the EUSOBI Young Club Symposium, which will be organised on Thursday, October 3, in the morning. Young radiologists can interact with and ask the experts about different professional issues.

EUSOBI YOUNG CLUB (EYC) SYMPOSIUM 2024

The EUSOBI Young Club would be happy to welcome you to the EYC Symposium taking place on Thursday morning. The symposium is mostly addressed to EUSOBI Young Club Members, Medical or PhD students, residents, young radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians or radiation therapists until the age of 40 with an interest in breast imaging. Please note, tickets are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets will be available via the official congress registration system.
