ESGO Congress 2023

Dear ESGO family, friends, and colleagues,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to join us at the 24th European Congress on Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO 2023), which will take place from September 28 – October 1, 2023, in Istanbul, Türkiye.

Istanbul is the largest metropolitan city in the world located on two continents, Asia and Europe, which together create the perfect blend of cultures and heritage.

The ESGO Congress in 2023 is planned to build on the success of ESGO 2022 in Berlin, our first annual congress, which attracted over 2500 participants from more than 90 countries. The upcoming event in Istanbul will again bring together an international audience in gynaecological cancer involving all multidisciplinary specialities. Our participants will share the best clinical practices as well as research discoveries that will shape the future of our field and raise standards of care.

Under the motto Bridging the continents in gynaecological cancer, we have designed a captivating programme that combines up-to-the-minute topics with a special call to colleagues working in countries with limited resources.

The Congress programme will feature presentations, debates, guidelines sessions, and tumour board discussions. In addition, selected experts will lead workshops and share their knowledge, outline the most recent advances and surgical techniques, and address hot controversial topics as well as updates in the management of endometrial, ovarian, cervical, and vulvar cancers.

For the first time in an extended period, we will be able to observe live surgery, broadcasting operations from European centres of recognised prestige.

Istanbul will be a magnificent opportunity to share research by your team or your centre and the value of your surgical techniques with the international scientific community. For this purpose, we have designed multiple sessions throughout the congress to exhibit the best abstract submissions.

The year of 2023 is not only special to ESGO, which will celebrate the society’s 40th anniversary, but also to Türkiye, which celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye founded by Atatürk.
