Emory Healthcare has appointed Ameenay Khan as the new Manager of Health Informatics. In this key role, Khan will lead the integration and optimisation of the organisation's electronic medical records (EMR) system, specifically Epic, by overseeing a team of Physician Informatics Specialists and Epic EMR Physician Builders.

Khan brings a wealth of experience to this position, having previously served as Clinical Informatics Project Manager at Emory Healthcare from January 2018 to April 2024. In this role, Khan played a crucial role in coordinating, planning, and executing enterprise-wide clinical informatics projects, working closely with both IT and clinical teams to ensure that large-scale projects, workflow changes, implementations, and efficiencies were achieved.

Notable projects that Khan managed include the system-wide update of downtime procedures during Emory Healthcare's transition to the Epic EMR platform, Non-Oncology CPOE conversion, and the piloting and roll-out of cutting-edge AI-assisted note generation technology aimed at reducing clinician burnout.
