In its December meeting, the Board of Directors of the Cantonal Hospital Authority (EOC) appointed the specialists Dr.ssa med. Carla Puligheddu, Dr. med. Stefano Cappio, Dr. med. Corrado Usai and Prof. Dr. med. Stefania Maria Rita Rizzo to the role of deputy head of the Radiology Clinic of the Imaging Institute of Italian Switzerland (IIMSI), with entry into service on 01.01.2024.
All the doctors appointed are already employed by the EOC, at the IIMSI Radiology Clinic, currently in the role of service head.
Dr. med. Carla Puligheddu will be responsible for the Radiology Service of the Mendrisio Regional Hospital and from 02.01.2024 she will take over from the current head doctor Dr. med. Mario Manganiello who will leave the function having reached the age limit; he will continue to collaborate with the EOC as a medical consultant. We would like to thank Doctor Manganiello, who with dedication and professionalism contributed significantly to the growth of IIMSI.
Dr. med. Stefano Cappio will support the head doctor in the role of deputy head of the Radiology Service of the Bellinzona Regional Hospital, as well as Dr. med. Corrado Usai at the Regional Hospital of Locarno; Prof. Dr. med. Stefania Maria Rita Rizzo will hold the role of head of the research unit within the Radiology Clinic.
