This cushion is made from a viscoelastic polyurethane gel that's high-reticulated. Damage to the support by sharp objects is prevented because the material avoids gel migration. The white pad of viscoelastic fluid gel reduces max pressure on areas that are sensitive. Pressure is more effectively distributed because there's a larger contact surface, and the highly resilient foam base helps the cushion hold up against bony protuberances. The two material layers are bonded because they're molded together and won't separate over time. The cushion is ideal for incontinent patients, and reduces transcutaneous pressures because the contact surface with the support is increased. It also greatly improves the stability and comfort of the patient.
