The traditional absorption chiller and a vapor compression chiller share a similar refrigeration cycle,given that both deliver chilled water through the condensation and evaporation stages of the refrigerant in the machine. The difference however is that a traditional chiller makes this possible with mechanical technology,which includes transportation and compression of the refrigerant vapor until it reached the condenser, while and absorption chiller rely's on a chemical thermal process that uses lithium bromide combined with water to establish the difference in pressure due to mechanical compression.
