The instrument has a gold anodized 96 well block that can accommodate volumes up to 70 mL or an anodized XL block for extra large volumes up to 100 mL, such as sample preparation for Next Generation Sequencing or bisulfite conversion for DNA methylation studies. Both of the blocks allow the same heating and cooling rates and superior temperature uniformity. The TProfessional Basic gives full functionally of easy spreadsheet and graphical programming and user-led quick start for the last five programs. The blocks are both available with optional gradient function for the quick usage of primer pairs. Additionally, this device includes a gold anodised sample block, available with or without gradient function, high temperature, and high heating and cooling rates.
