The TGGE MAXI system is the perfect instrument in investigating numerous samples in a parallel manner. Because of its large thermal block (20 x 20 cm), a long separation distance for analyzing complex sample mixtures is possible. The TGGE MAXI controller can control the MAXI electrophoresis unit. The TGGE principle is that DNA begins to melt upon migration through a temperature gradient. Once the DNA becomes single stranded partially, the sample slows down dramatically.
