The Synicem Hip Spacer is a premoulded temporary spacer that aids in the treatment of infected hip prosthesis. At the first stage, the infected prosthesis is removed and the spacer is placed. In the second stage, once the infection cures, the spacer is removed and the definite prosthesis is positioned in its place. Presentation This Synicem Hip Spacer is available in a box with the Instructions for Use leaflet and a ETO sterilized double blister containing one hip spacer. Composition Synicem Spacer is made of PMMA Bone Cement loaded with high concentrations of Gentamicine. An internal core made of AISI 316L reinforces the device.
