To improve the quality of life (QOL) of patients undergoing cancer treatments, SHI group offers the new Proton Therapy Systems. This system involves the use of proton beam therapy, a type of radiation therapy that is already becoming popular because of its potential to make a patient's QOL better while treating cancer. The treatment method is actually safe and can be performed without any incisions. With the proton beam therapy, the radiation dosage is concentrated and targeted on the cancer cells, thus reducing the dosage of radiation applied to normal tissues. It can provide enough radiation to body parts which had been hard to reach with conventional irradiation methods.
