The Manu Forsa Volar wrist orthosis provides extensive immobilisation of the wrist in the functional position. A flexible plastic reinforcing insert and a Y-shaped anatomically pre-shaped volar metal splint serve as stabilising elements and simultaneously support the wrist. Small clips on the end of the Y-splint enclose the medial and lateral edge of the palm so that the movement of the hand is restricted significantly in both planes. For comfortable, anatomical positioning, the palm rests on a heart-shaped pad which is attached with hook and loop material. The Manu Forsa Volar only covers those parts of the hand required for stabilisation. This helps the skin's temperature regulating process.
