The CMU is used in laboratories to provide head for liquids in round bottom flasks. The design of the metal case ensures that no heat is transferred thus preventing burns while being used. The electro-thermal heating mantle comes with a grounded stainless steel earth screen which covers the element and it is double fused for additional safety. Recommended controller are the MC242 and MC5 round bottom flask capacities of 50ml to 5000ml cool to the touch outer casing element. Unit provides temperatures of up to 450°C. There are indicator lamps which show power and heater operations, unit is powder coated with aluminum and is rugged and easy to clean it also comes with replaceable insulated heater cartridge. The CMU unit is approved by CE and CSA and they are available in 115 V models. Unit can be used for remote experiments and fume hood both must be used with a controller.
