Controlled crossing of Chronic Total Occlusions (CTOs) can be done with the FRONTRUNNER® XP CTO Catheter. It uses blunt microdissection to make a channel through the occlusion to facilitate the placement of wire. The catheter has a .039" crossing profile with actuating jaws which open to 2.3 mm. The entire length of the catheter has a hydrophilic coating that facilitates the crossing of CTO. The catheter also has a bendable distal tip. Along with effective torque control, the catheter is easy to maneuver through the occlusion. Furthermore, its integrated system provides support from the advancement and retraction of the 4.5F Micro Guide Catheter.
