The AU480 Chemistry System combines versatile advanced functions that facilitate high quality testing, improve turnaround time and cut operating costs. With a throughput of 400 photometric tests per hour (up to 800 with electrolytes) and an on board capacity of 63 different analytes the AU480 Chemistry System is the ideal main analyzer for small to medium sized laboratories. It can also fit as a special chemistry or STAT analyzer in large laboratories as well. It maintains many features of its predecessor like long life electrodes, low maintenance and superior spot photometer technology. More than 120 different Beckman Coulter System reagent applications are available including Serum Indices, specially designed to match the requirements and features of the new analyzer platform. The reagents are barcoded, in addition with 2-D master calibration curves. The AU480 guarantees standardization of results with the implementation of Universal applications "One Application fits all for all AU systems". The system has twin sampling capability via rack loading or a cooled STAT turntable module.
