For hydride and flame techniques, the contrAA® 300 features an atomic absorption spectrometer with High-Resolution Continuum Source AAS (HR-CS AAS) as a continuum radiation source. Other features include an echelle spectrometer. With its computer controlled, fully automatic operation this device offers a multi-element analysis at either trace levels or bulk concentrations. Fast multi-element analysis functions can be either sequential or simultaneous, depending on user preference. The automatic sample introduction system is monitored by sensors. At maximum absorption the burners will adjust themselves. Scaled angle and height adjustments are provided by a burner system which is reproducible. Small sample volumes as well as those with a stronger matrix influence can be handled by the "Segmented Flow Star SFS6" mechanisms. The auto-sampler provides automatic contamination checks. Up to 1:625 of automatic dilution is provided for both flame and graphite furnaces. Hydride forming elements are provided with a new range of detection limits.
