The simple to operate PiezoWave uses a combination of extracorporeal shock wave therapy with trigger point shock wave therapy to treat chronic pain. This non-surgical method for pain relief in the musculoskeletal system works by focusing extracorporeal shock waves on the affected extra. Gel pads of varying thicknesses are used to allow accurate penetration. A large-area energy coupling with an aperture angle of 94 degrees is also used as an advantageous part of the treatment.
