GreenLightTM PV (80 watt) and HPS 8120 watt) systems are capable of providing superior hemostatic and ablative properties by way of a 532 nm wavelength. The GreenLight laser vaporization of the prostate area has enabled treatment to be carried out on high-risk patients, even those on anti-coagulation therapy, with a minimum risk of having to extend hospitalization. It has become the standard prostate treatment in hospitals allowing for a complete enucleation of the adenomatous tissue at 80 watts. The subsequent morcellation procedure can be performed with perfect visibility and it is an extremely safe procedure. The option to choose between a 24.5 Fr. laser instrument for smaller glands and a 26 Fr. instrument for larger glands is available.
