Useful for inserting Kirschner wires between 1-4 mm. in diameter, the KR2000 is used in orthopaedic casualty departments. This drill is battery operated and outfitted with telescopic guide. The latter can be sterilized with ease and functions to support the inserted wire. A mechanism that signals a change in battery status is included. It is not applicable for use in Operating theaters but can be used in Orthopedic First Aid.
