Sectra has signed a long-term contract with Alrijne Hospital in the Netherlands. The contract is an extension of an existing contract and comprises Sectra’s enterprise image management solution, including Sectra VNA, for handling different types of medical images. Intially, the solution will provide healthcare professionals at Alrijne Hospital with a single access point to medical images for radiology and nuclear medicine, thereby simplifying the day-to-day work of the physicians and contributing to better, more efficient healthcare.

Alrijne Hospital is a merger of the hospitals Rijnland Ziekenhuis, which has used Sectra’s solution for handling radiology and nuclear medicine images (PACS) for 14 years, and Diaconessenhuis Leiden, which will replace its existing radiology PACS.

“We have been using Sectra’s solution for quite some time and, with 100% uptimes, it was an obvious choice to extend the contract with Sectra,” says Martin Grob MHA, Cluster Manager at Alrijne Zorggroep.

With the solution from Sectra, it will be easy for the two merged hospitals to share patient information and medical images. This will facilitate the efficient utilization of resources and contribute to effective and safe healthcare.
