Its new DR product is suited for radiology and orthopaedic clinics, according to GE who said the Definium 5000, a floor-mounted, DR system, incorporates its digital flat panel detector technology, measuring 41 x 41 cm, along with a U-arm that can fit into smaller rooms without the need of ceiling support structures for x-ray tube suspensions. It also said the system features anatomical view-based digital image processing, customizable image processing and image storage and print with DICOM 3.0 networking capability.
