Dr. Christina Malamateniou has taken on the esteemed position of Associate Editor at European Radiology Experimental.

 

Dr. Malamateniou brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Medicine, University College Cork, she has consistently demonstrated her dedication to advancing the field of radiography. Her tenure as Chair of the EFRS (European Federation of Radiographer Societies) Research Expert Committee underscores her commitment to fostering research excellence and innovation.

 

Prior to her current appointments, Dr. Malamateniou served as Vice Chair of the EFRS Research Committee, where she played a pivotal role in shaping research agendas and strategies. Her multifaceted background includes extensive academic contributions, with notable positions such as Co-Director of the postgraduate programme of radiography at City, University of London, and Visiting Professor of Radiography at HESAV University in Switzerland.

 

With an impressive track record of publications, research grants, and leadership roles, Dr. Malamateniou's expertise encompasses a wide range of topics, including AI adoption in radiography, person-centered care, and workforce recovery post-COVID-19. As the former Chair of the AI Advisory Group of the SCoR (Society and College of Radiographers), she has been at the forefront of driving innovation and best practices in the field.
