This event is aimed at clinicians, especially general radiologists who encounter PET scans as part of their daily work but don’t report them in addition to trainees. The aim is to give a basic understanding of the science underpinning PET, its indications, pitfalls and superficial image interpretation. It will conclude by summarising future tracer developments and imminent new indications for PET feature.

BY BUS

The bus stops are made on Argyle Street, which adjoins Jamaica Street, Howard Street and Osborne Street to access St Enoch Square and IET Glasgow: Teacher Building: Argyle Street: Routes 1, 2, 6, 7, 61 and 75 Jamaica Street: Routes 3, 4, 10, 38 and 57 Howard Street: Routes 2, 7, 61 and 75 Oswald Street: Routes 3, 4, 9,10,38, and 57

BY FOOT:

From Glasgow Queen Street, allow 10-15 minutes to walk this route. Leave Queen Street station via the ‘George Square’ exit Cross over the pedestrian crossing onto West George Street and turn right. Turn left at St George’s Tron and head down Buchanan Street. Take the pedestrian crossing opposite the Bank of Scotland and enter St Enoch Square. From Glasgow Central Station, allow 5-10 minutes to walk this route. Follow the signs for ‘Argyle Street’ between Patisserie Valerie and Costa. Take the escalator and turn left at the bottom. Exit the station opposite the ‘Arches’ and turn left. Cross the road opposite KFC and continue walking until you reach Frasers’ department store on the corner. At Frasers, take the pedestrian crossing opposite the Bank of Scotland and enter St Enoch Square.
