JFR 2022 - Journées Francophones de Radiologie Diagnostique & Interventionnelle

The Francophone Days of Radiology will take place in Paris at Porte Maillot from October 7 to 10, 2022 . The office of the French Society of Radiology has appointed me president of this 70th edition , a huge honor for a doctor from Lugdunum and a great responsibility. These meetings are an opportunity to train, to exchange, to share, to simply discover, to meet far from the sustained tasks of our daily lives. We all hope that the pandemic will be far behind us for a strong return to the face-to-face with many participatory sessions, accessible only in face-to-face at the Palais des Congrès.

I have thought a lot about our role as radiologists in today's society. We are all in high demand with an explosion of diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures, day and night, with no increase in our workforce. Imaging has become essential to most industrial studies, for diagnosis and patient monitoring. We are, it seems to me, an essential link in care at different stages in the patient's journey. A private or public establishment cannot function without radiologists, AI being a tool that we must understand and adopt to help us and refocus on our greatest knowledge, our strength, diagnosis, care, analysis subtlety of a clinical situation with incredible ways to probe the human body. We are the anatomists of tomorrow.

the involvement in the organization of the care offer in the territories to approach equity in the care of all patients, telemedicine and the second opinion. For all these reasons, the red thread of these JFRs will be centeredon the patient care pathway in the digital age of health, developed by organ companies .

During the inaugural conference, we will have the honor of receiving the Sorbonne University choir punctuating the presentation of the medals. The institutional conference (La Grande Conférence) will be dedicated to digital health. Prestigious guests are expected but it's still too early to tell you everything.

Among the focuses, you can already note the shared views between specialties, a forum on the organization of care in the territories, neuroradiology with a long-awaited session on imaging in psychiatry and high fields in MRI, the reform of the second cycle and, new fact, an eloquence challenge open to all. The Data Challenge will focus on a frequent, urgent and serious problem: pulmonary embolism. The villages, big winners of the JFR 2021 edition, will be there. Popular places for meetings and cross-generational exchanges where young interventional neuroradiologists and young interventional osteo-articular radiologists meet in the space for young people in radiology, but also in the interventional radiology village, at the 'artificial intelligence,

You will have the chance to discover or find the best moments of the JFR365 throughout the congress, and, new, benefit from a course selected by each learned society upstream of the JFR to facilitate face-to-face exchanges during the congress (table round, clinical cases, participatory session) on these pre-selected topics.

The two foreign countries in the spotlight will be South Korea and Spain with several interventions on the theme of the patient journey. Many countries with which the SFR has special agreements will be present during these days, such as Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Egypt, the United States, Iran, Japan, Mexico and Uruguay.
