The international pharmaceutical company AOP Orphan Pharmaceuticals GmbH (AOP Health), a member of the AOP Health Group, is increasingly investing in the optimization of the "employee experience", i.e. how employees perceive the company. To make its HR processes and services more data driven, the company is also focusing on "people analytics". The main purpose of the new Director Employee Experience & People Analytics, Dietmar Eglhofer, and his team is to create a motivating and productive work environment. Specifically, they will identify the most important elements of the employee experience and use them to create professional work conditions that meet the needs of current and future employees.
As a graduate of the Krems School of Tourism, Eglhofer has roots in the tourism industry. He went on to study Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (WU). His career has taken him from the IT sector to FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) and the pharmaceutical industry. Eglhofer became part of the AOP Health team in the beginning of 2024 and has since been contributing his many years of experience and expertise. Eglhofer explains:
In tourism, success depends heavily on how customers perceive the service, so it's all about the customer experience. HR is very similar, because my team and I essentially serve customers - both existing and potential employees. Improving the employee experience increases employee satisfaction and motivation, which in turn boosts the company's productivity.
